The Upper Airedale Junior Cricket Association
awards were again presented at the Rendezvous Hotel, Skipton in October 2011.
Steeton CC Juniors were well represented, winning in 3 age groups:

Under 9s. William Luxton won the 2011 Season League Batting Award.

Under 11s. Thomas Meakin won the 2011 Season League Fielding Award and was runner-up for the Cricketer of the Year Award - topping the Division One stats.

Under 13s. Dominic Meehan won the 2011 Season League Bowling Award.

Ceri Holland won the 2011 Girl Cricketer of the Year Award

Steeton U9s League Champions
Steeton Under 9s finished the season in the same manner
as they started it ….. with the presentation of a trophy.
The Under 9 League Trophy will join the Malsis Cup
in the club trophy cabinet as Steeton made a clean sweep of the
silverware for Under 9s this season!
The team collected the trophy & celebrated their success at The Rendezvous Hotel.
Steeton U-9s win Malsis Cup
Steeton Cricket Club's Under9 teams had a great start to the 2010 season
by winning the Malsis Festival Cup on Sunday 27th June.
Whilst the majority of the population were awaiting in trepidation
England's World Cup game vs Germany, approximately 600 young cricketers,
parents and supporters enjoyed a full day of cricket at Malsis School.
Glorious weather, great facilities and professional organisation resulted
in an excellent day's cricket.
As always, the Under-9s section was keenly contested with teams submitted
from Steeton, Skipton, Oakworth (2), Earby and Wharfedale cricket clubs.
Each team played each other in a round-robin format with Steeton the clear
victors with 5 straight wins.
Each member of the team, comprising of Thomas Meakin, Waseem Qureshi, Adil
Modak, Harris Rowlett, Anish Ghosh, Lucas Watt & Matthew Lister made
individual contributions to what was ultimately a great team performance.
Many thanks to the team, their families and coaches for supporting this
event.

From the 2008 season Steeton have entered U9, U11, U13, U15 & U17 sides in the UAJCL. This means Steeton have 5 junior cricket teams, with the age groups separated by 2 years.
The UAJCL presentation evening was held at Keighley RUFC 14th September 2007 - we had a number of award winners and trophies to collect. Not only did we win the U17s & U15s Championships, but also Stephen Pearson was U17s Player of the Year, Tom Stead was U15s Player of the Year, Charlotte Boulton was Girl Player of the Year, Callum Lowe was Joint-Winner of the U17s League Fielding Award and Daniel Austick was Winner of the U13s League Fielding Award.
It was passed by the committee of Steeton CC that the facilities at Steeton CC, including the nets, can only be used with a hard cricket ball on designated, organised practice nights - A new notice will be displayed.
