Gargrave (A) - 2nd May 2010
A young Steeton side found themselves facing a strong Gargrave team and lost by 74 runs. Gargarve batted first and had 3 batters retire as they reached 25 runs: Smith (26*), Anderson (27*) & Beckwith (25*). In fact the only wicket that Steeton managed was through a run out by Morgan Bridge. Fielding points went to Ceri Holland and keeper Andrew Briggs. In their 20 overs Gargrave amassed a formidable total of 133 runs for the loss of 1 wicket. In reply opener Andrew Briggs (19*) batted through the innings, hitting 1 fours as he scored 19* runs not out. Andrew found support from skipper Dominic Meehan (10), who hit 2 boundaries as he just reached double figures. Matthew Klava (8) also made a good contribution as Steeton closed on 59 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Gargrave won convincingly against a young Steeton side who never gave in and batted resolutely until the end. Full Scorecard
Bolton Abbey (H) - 9th May 2010
Batting first Bolton Abbey scored a reasonable 81 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs, mainly thanks to Gill (27*). Ceri Holland (2-11) took 2 wickets for 11 runs from 3 overs & Alex Grimbaldeston (2-2) collected also collected 2 wickets for 2 runs from 1 over. Dominic Meehan (1-4) & Matthew Klava (1-9) collected a single wicket each. In reply Steeton's batting was fantastic - Andrew Briggs (26*) retired having hit 4 fours as he scored 26* runs. Andrew's opening partner was Ceri Holland (22*) who also hit 4 fours and was unbeaten with 22* runs. Skipper Connor Meegan (9*) was the only other batter required, as Steeton passed the Bolton Abbey target with 5 overs and 10 wickets to spare. Steeton scored 85 runs in 14.3 overs without losing a wicket - so winning by 10 wickets! Full Scorecard

Wilsden (H) - 18th May 2010 in John Hindle Cup
A powerful Wilsden side sent Steeton to an early exit from the John Hindle Cup - losing by 75 runs. Batting first Wilsden scored a colossal 142 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs - over 7 runs per over! Wilsden had 3 batters retiring with over 25 runs: Busby (27*), Wilson (25*) & Hosty (25*). Andrew Briggs (1-16) collected a wicket courtesy of a catch by Matthew Klava & Bradley Akrigg (1-16) was the only other successful bowler, despite Steeton using 10 bowlers! The other Wilsden batter to be out was run out. In reply Andrew Briggs (25*) got Steeton off to a solid start - scoring 25* runs & hitting 5 fours before having to retire. The other batters were not able to cope with the Wilsden bowlers and so the next best scorers were Alex Grimbaldeston with 10 runs & Dominic Meehan with 9 runs. Wilsden's Hahn took a Hat Trick. With the retired batter unable to return Steeton were all out for 67 runs in 16 overs. Steeton lose by 75 runs and are out of the cup. Full Scorecard
Bradley (A) - 21st May 2010
Batting first Steeton were helped by a good opening partnership between Andrew Briggs (26*) & Ceri Holland (9). Runs flowed from the bat of Andrew Briggs as he smashed 6 fours before being forced to retire with 26* runs. Ceri Holland hit 1 fours as she scored 9 runs, and Ryan Birch also hit a four as he score 7 runs. Despite a good start Steeton slumped to 61 runs for 8 wickets in 18 overs. In reply Bradley were pinned back early by Connor Meegan (1-10) with a catch taken by Bradley Akrigg. Matthew Klava (1-10) also collected a wicket, but solid middle order batting, led by Andrews (25*), saw Bradley comfortably pass the Steeton target. Bradley score 63 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 14 overs, and so Steeton lost by 8 wickets. Fielding points were awarded to Andrew Briggs & Will Pinder. Full Scorecard
Cowling (H) - 30th May 2010
Cowling batted first and score an excellent 93 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs, setting Steeton a target of almost 5 runs per over. Alex Grimbaldeston was the pick of the Steeton bowlers with 3 wickets for 3 runs from 2 overs. Dominic Meehan was not far behind with his 2 overs only costing 3 runs as he collected 2 wickets. Bradley Akrigg (1-3) & Will Pinder (1-9) collected a single wicket each. Ceri Holland took 3 catches and was awarded a fielding point, & Jos Sheppard was also awarded a fielding point. Alex Grimbaldeston took a catch from his own bowling and Haris Maqbool took a catch and ran out one of the Cowling batters. In reply Steeton compiled a series of good scores: Opener Andrew Briggs hit 3 fours as he score 15 runs before being caught. Andrew's opening partner was Ceri Holland, who had to retire having scored 26* runs & hit 5 fours. At No3 Ryan Birch hit 4 fours as he scored 23 runs before he was caught out. Bradley Akrigg hit 3 fours as he scored an unbeaten 16* runs, and saw Steeton to a surprisingly comfortable victory along with Connor Meegan (4*). Steeton had scored 94 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 15.2 over, to win by 8 wickets with over 4 overs to spare. Full Scorecard
