Summary
Once again the 1st XI captain chosen before the season did not complete the whole season. Russell Newton resigned during the match at Guiseley & our overseas player Matthew Pinniger was chosen by the players as a replacement. A 2nd XI fixture was stopped following the death of long time supporter Frank Eckersley. After a poor start to the season, and losing in the first round of the Waddilove Cup our 1st XI finished strongly and were second in the 'A' division. Our 2nd XI were less successful and were demoted to the 'B' division. John Pollard was awarded the Chairman's Rosebowl for his untiring efforts behind the bar, his work as sponsorship secretary & the extension to the Clubhouse.
